Acsiopolis, an upcoming luxury residential and mixed-use development, is currently under construction in the heart of Sandton’s densely populated and ultra-high-income Benmore node. Spanning approximately one hectare of land, this project is in close proximity to South Africa’s “golden mile,” the Sandton City district.
Our architectural firm has been intimately involved in this project from stage 4.2 to its anticipated completion in Q2 2022. Acsiopolis boasts obtained rights to build 67,000sqm above ground, with the current development at 111,000sqm and a potential additional 15,000sqm.
The property is strategically located adjacent to Crawford College Benmore and in close proximity to Varsity College Benmore. With a scarcity of land for new high-rise developments in Sandton, Acsiopolis aligns with Acsion’s vision of sectoral diversification into residential and mixed-use property developments.
The development is divided into two concurrent phases. Phase 1 focuses on constructing 55,000sqm of parking space, while Phase 2 is dedicated to the development of 67,000sqm of residential and retail spaces.
Our architectural firm took over the project during the early stages of construction, just as the COVID pandemic began to unfold. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, our team was well-equipped for remote work, ensuring that the project continued to progress smoothly. Our involvement has been instrumental in guiding the development towards its final form, now rising above ground level. The increasing demand for convenient accommodation in the area has led to the development of high-rise executive apartment blocks like Acsiopolis, Michelangelo, and Sandhurst towers.
Once completed, Acsiopolis will feature luxury serviced apartments, retail outlets, and a variety of mixed-use facilities, catering to the growing demand for a “live, work, and play” lifestyle. Residents will enjoy the vibrant street culture and commercial opportunities in the greater Sandton area, while benefiting from its prime location near Africa’s Wall Street.
