BMW 31.0 formed part of C+B Architects’ ongoing work at BMW Rosslyn in Pretoria. The project focused on additions to the B31 Bodyshop, creating a more effective support environment for production through the introduction of a VPS area, office space, and a green area.
The architectural response was guided by the operational demands of an active industrial campus. The new and adapted spaces were planned to support workflow, improve day-to-day functionality, and integrate with the existing bodyshop environment without disrupting the broader production setting.
The project balances practical industrial requirements with a considered workplace approach. By combining production-support space with offices and a green area, the intervention contributes to a more organised, efficient, and people-focused facility within the BMW Rosslyn campus.
